Children grown having some laughs

For those less knowledgable, the title is from "Dakota" from Stereophonics. My new flatmate Danni is playing it next door and the line made me smile because that's what I plan on doing tonight. I'm going to be meeting Emily at the local campus bar, the Shed to drink cocktails that can hardly be classes as boozy beverages because of the horrific lack of booze in them, but they still taste night. They're called triples, but of course the spirits in that place are so watered down that no-one ever gets drunk. But they're cheap, taste nice and often look pretty too, so we like it. With my general lack of funding recently though, I think I'll be going for the more chistmassy style drinks I very rarely drink because they contain milk and milk coagulates if fizzy pop is then drunk on top of such drinks. So Bailies and cream it is for me tonight!

I had been told that I would be needed to play Kelly again today fairly early, but as that was canceled, I pretty much had the day off. When I say pretty much, having expected to be filming all day I had to order my swine flu injection for the ungodly hour of 9:45am, an hour that should never ever exist, especially in the frosty land that is winter! But I had the injection, and it hurt a lot less than my usual insulin injections. (Did I forget to mention I'm type 1 diabetic?) unfortunately though, I got a bad headache from the liquid so went to sleep for most of the day. My arm hurts quite a bit now, but no more than the usual flu injection causes. Next Wednesday is going to be my "Cerverix cancer" injection, as my nurse insists on calling it, because of course every doctor and teacher in the world is wrong to call that part of the female anatomy a "cervix" aren't they? *rolls eyes* and after that is finished I'll be ordering the last lot of injections I'm due... or overdue for my last lot of booster injections and HOPEFULLY they won't think of anything else they haven't yet administered.

I got a little further with my unpacking today which is nice, and even more nice is having all my kitchen utensils in the same room!! Ah the joy of cooking without having to walk up and down a corridor to get all the tings I might need. The lack of a dishwasher is a little anoying but as yet hasnt upset me too much. But as soon as I'm in town next I'll be buying some dishwasher tablets and see if I can fix the horrific smell and stale water all stuck in the thing.

If I remember, my next blog may have a bit of a review in it, because I have just re-fallen in love with a book I am reading at the moment by Malorie blackman called Naughts and Crosses. It really is excellent. But I haven't finished it... yet. I know todays blog has been really short, but I would like to shower and get dressed before going out tonight because no-one wants to see me turning up to the shed in my pyjamas! TTFN
